Summary

Konfir verifies your employment or income in minutes by connecting securely to trusted sources — like your bank, HMRC, or payroll provider — with your permission.

Once connected, Konfir analyses and cross-checks your data to create a verified record for the organisation that asked (your verifier). It’s fast, private, and always under your control.

How a verification is created

1️⃣ You connect data sources

When you start your verification, Konfir will ask for your consent to connect one or more secure, verified data sources:

  • Open Banking – confirms income received (e.g. salary payments).

  • HMRC – confirms PAYE employment and income recorded with HMRC.

  • Payroll – provides structured employer and salary details directly from payroll systems.

Note: You’ll only see the sources your verifier has enabled. Connecting multiple sources helps make your verification more complete and accurate.

2️⃣ Konfir generates your verification

Once your data is connected, Konfir’s verification engine processes it automatically - no manual reviewing, uploading, or waiting required.

Behind the scenes, Konfir:

  • Collects only the data you’ve approved from your chosen sources.

  • Cross-checks employer names, job titles, dates, and income across all connections.

  • Builds a standardised, tamper-proof verification record that your verifier can review instantly.

What does your verifier receive?

Your verifier receives a verified summary of your employment or income — not your full bank statements or raw data. Here's a mock example of an employment verification:

What's Included

Verification Type

What’s Included

Employment verification

  • Employer name

  • Start and end dates

  • Job title (if available)

  • Any detected gaps or undeclared employments

Income verification

  • Annual Gross income

  • Latest pay date

  • Income stability indicators

Employment & income

  • All of the above

For all verifications, they’ll also see:

  • Your identity attributes: name, NI number, contact details (provided)

  • Your data sources: whether HMRC, Payroll, Banking were connected

  • Metadata: Your Verification ID and timestamp of completion

  • Insights: We'll highlight employment gaps or undeclared roles

What’s not included

Konfir verifications are strictly factual — there’s no personal opinion or unnecessary data.

❌ International work history
❌ Character or performance references
❌ Reasons for leaving or HR feedback
❌ Additional checks like Right to Work or DBS

If your verifier needs those, they’ll handle them separately.

How this differs from traditional checks

Konfir replaces slow, manual checks with a fast, digital, consent-based process.

You stay in control of what’s shared, and your verifier receives only confirmed, source-verified information — not personal commentary or private documents.
