Summary

You’ve been asked to use Konfir because an organisation - called a verifier - needs to confirm your employment or income history.

Konfir is their chosen way to do this securely, quickly, and with your consent.

Why you’ve been asked to verify

You may be asked to complete a Konfir verification when an organisation needs to confirm your work or income details for:

  • 🎯 Starting a new job – as part of employment screening or onboarding

  • 🏡 Renting a property – for tenant referencing

  • 💷 Applying for finance – such as loans, credit, or mortgages

Instead of waiting for manual references or uploading piles of documents, you can securely share verified data directly from trusted sources like HMRC, payroll, or your bank - all in just a few minutes.

🤔 Still Not Sure? - reach out to your verifier directly before completing the process. They can explain what the check relates to and how they’ll use the results. Konfir simply provides the secure verification process - your verifier decides when and why it’s used.

What is a verifier?

A verifier is the organisation that requested your check - for example, an employer, background screening company, letting agent, or lender. They’re the only party who will receive your verification result.

How to identify your verifier

Your verifier’s name should appear:

  • Throughout your Konfir verification journey that you complete

  • In the invite email/SMS (if you received one)

🤔 Still Not Sure? - If you’re still unsure who your verifier is, contact us at [email protected], and we’ll confirm it for you.
