I have connected my bank account but not all of my employment history is verified

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you find that your bank account only covers part of your employment history, this may be due to:

  • Your bank’s data sharing policy: Some banks (e.g., Barclays, Nationwide, Santander) only report the last two years of transactions, meaning employment history before this time can not be verified.

  • You haven’t connected all your accounts: You may have only been paid into the account you connected for a certain period, and not for the full employment history requested for verification.

To complete your verification, try connecting any other bank accounts you were paid into during your employment. If no additional accounts are available, you can instead move on from the banking section and continue to connect other data sources (e.g. HMRC, payroll) to complete your verification.
