Summary

Konfir only collects data you explicitly consent to share, which is retrieved once from Banking, HMRC, or Payroll, to confirm who you worked for, when, and (if requested) how much you earned. We follow data-minimisation and don’t keep ongoing access.

What we collect

Data collected can include:

  • Identity data - name, DoB, NI number, contact details).

  • Employment data - employer name(s), start/end dates, job title (if available)

  • Employment gap data - periods without work, context as to why (if available)

  • Income data (if requested) - amount, frequency, source

Note: The exact data collected depends on your verifier’s request and the data sources you chose to connect

How we collect it

  • Banking: Transaction data that identifies employer salary payments.

  • HMRC: PAYE employment/tax record data.

  • Payroll: Records that confirm employer/dates and can include job titles.

Why we collect it

  • To produce a verification your verifier can rely on

  • That's it - nothing else is done with your data

Controls you should know about

  • Collection is consent-driven and access is one-time, read-only; no continuous access is kept.

  • We apply data minimisation, collecting only what’s needed for your verification.
