What is a “verifier”? And who is my verifier?

Your verifier is the organisation that asked you to complete your Konfir check - they receive your verified results, not Konfir. Learn how to identify who they are.

What is a verifier?

A verifier is the organisation that asked you to complete a Konfir check (e.g., an employer, background screening company, letting agent, or lender). They receive your verified results to make their decision.

Who is my verifier?

Your verifier's name and logo is shown inside the Konfir journey you complete (see below). If you received an email/sms invite, it is also shown here

FAQs

Is Konfir my verifier?
No. Konfir powers the secure verification; your verifier is the organisation that requested it and receives the result.

Can I have more than one verifier?
Yes - if you’re going through multiple processes (e.g., job plus rental), each organisation involved is its own verifier.

Who can see my data?
Only your verifier sees your verification output for this request - no one else (not other employers, not credit agencies). Your login details are never shared, and access is one-time, read-only.

Need help?

If something looks wrong or you can’t tell who your verifier is, reply to the message that invited you or ask the organisation handling your application - we’ll still complete your verification once you connect your sources.
