The details in my verification request look wrong

If the employer name, dates, or other details look incorrect, contact your verifier - they set these when creating the check.

Summary

Before you submit, you'll see a review screen showing what your verifier has asked Konfir to check - typically:

  • Employer name

  • Employment dates

  • Income type or employment details

If any of these look wrong, it's important to flag it before you submit.

What should I do?

Contact your verifier directly - they're the only ones who can change the details in your verification request.

Depending on the situation, they may:

  • Update the details and ask you to reopen your verification

  • Cancel the current check and send you a new one

  • Confirm that the details are correct (even if they look unfamiliar)

⚠️ Important: If possible, don't complete the verification against incorrect details. The result will reflect what was requested, and correcting it afterwards can take longer.

ℹ️ Note: Konfir can't change the details in a verification request. These are fully controlled by your verifier.

What if the issue is with my result, not the request?

This article covers issues with the request (what your verifier asked Konfir to check).

If your concern is about the result (what Konfir found in your data sources) - for example:

  • An unexpected employment record

  • Income figures that don't match your expectations

You or your verifier will need to pursue alternative checks outside of Konfir (e.g. document checks). The Konfir result you/your verifier sees is solely based on the digital evidence found in connected data sources - Konfir does not and can not amend results.
