Konfir keeps your verification data only for as long as necessary to deliver your verification result and meet legal and regulatory requirements. After that, your data is securely deleted.

Retention periods
Konfir retains your verification data for seven years from the date of your last verification submission. Where you have a Konfir account, the seven-year period runs from account closure.
This period exists to maintain audit and security records required by law, meet contractual and regulatory obligations, and allow Konfir to respond to any legal or regulatory claims that may arise.
What happens after the retention period
Once the required period ends, your verification data is removed from active systems and securely deleted. Copies held in backups are also deleted in line with Konfir's backup cycle.
Requesting early deletion
You can request deletion of your data before the retention period ends by emailing [email protected]. Include your full name and, if you have it, your verification ID. Konfir will consider your request in line with UK GDPR and applicable law. See How to make a data rights request for full details.
Your verifier may hold a copy
Your verifier may retain a copy of your verification result in their own systems, under their own data retention policies. Konfir doesn't control how long your verifier keeps this. For questions about your verifier's retention, contact them directly.
