What is a “verifier”? And who is my verifier?Your verifier is the organisation that asked you to complete your Konfir check - they receive your verified results, not Konfir. Learn how to identify who they are.
How long do I have / How long does it take?You have 7 days to complete your Konfir verification - it usually takes just a few minutes, but your verifier can extend or reset it if you need more time.
Can I fail a Konfir verification?There’s no pass or fail - Konfir just shows what could be verified from your data. Your verifier reviews the results and guides any next steps.
Am I eligible to use Konfir?You can use Konfir if you’ve worked or paid tax in the UK - it verifies most paid roles but not unpaid, cash-in-hand, or overseas work.
Is Konfir free? (Yes)Using Konfir is always free - there are no hidden costs or subscriptions, and your verifier covers the fee.
Does using Konfir affect my credit score? (No)Konfir never runs credit checks - your credit score isn’t affected, and your data isn’t shared with credit agencies.
What happens if I was self-employed, unemployed, or had gaps in employment?Konfir can verify most work histories, including self-employment or breaks. Gaps are normal - your verifier will guide any follow-up.
