HMRC error — “You can not access this page”

You’re using tax-agent or business credentials to log in - Konfir needs approval from your own personal (Individual/PAYE) HMRC account.


What to do

  1. Sign out of HMRC.

  2. Reopen your Konfir link and choose Connect with HMRC.

  3. Sign in with your personal (Individual/PAYE) Government Gateway details.

  4. If you’ve never had a personal login, create a Government Gateway (Individual) account, then return to your Konfir link and try again.


What if I can’t resolve this?

If you're still having trouble or it's taking too long, you can skip the HMRC step and connect any other available sources - like banking or payroll - before submitting your verification. Once submitted, your verifier will review the information and contact you if anything further is needed.
