My payroll account won’t connect — what should I do?

Summary

This usually means there’s a delay or temporary error at the payroll provider. You can retry, or skip Payroll and continue with HMRC/Banking; you can still submit your verification.

Your Options

Konfir supports multiple data sources; even if one connection is slow or unavailable, you can continue with the others

1) Retry

Close and re-open your Konfir link before reattempting to connect your payroll account. It may also be worth clearing your browser’s cache/cookies and/or opening your Konfir link from a different browser or device.

2) Skip

If it still won’t connect, close and re-open the Konfir process, but this time skip the payroll connection and continue to connect other sources available to you (e.g. bank or HMRC) if they aren't connected yet - then submit.

Note: you can submit your verification as long as you have at least one connected source for each employment or income period. Your verifier will review and follow up if anything else is needed.
