I can't find or log in to my bank

If your bank isn't listed or the login fails, you can skip it and verify via HMRC or payroll instead - or contact your verifier to discuss alternatives.

My bank isn't in the list

Not all banks are supported. If yours doesn't appear, skip the bank connection and use another data source instead - HMRC or payroll may cover the same period without needing bank data.

If none of the other sources are available or applicable for your situation, contact your verifier. They can tell you what alternatives they're able to accept.

My bank is listed but the login is failing

Try these in order:

  1. Check your credentials first. It may be a credentials issue - test your login details directly on your bank's own website before trying again through Konfir. If they work on your bank's site but fail through Konfir, that points to a connection problem rather than a credentials one.

  2. Use your bank's website, not the app. The web-based login is generally more reliable for Open Banking connections. If the app redirect is failing, try on a desktop browser.

  3. Try a different browser or device. Some browser extensions or security settings interfere with the redirect.

  4. Check your bank's status page. If your bank is experiencing an outage, wait and try again once it's resolved.

  5. Close Konfir and start again. Connection attempts sometimes time out - starting fresh usually clears it.

If the login is still failing after trying the above, skip the bank connection and continue with your other available sources - HMRC or payroll may cover the period your verifier needs.

Forgotten login details

Reset them with your bank before trying again:

  1. Go to your bank's website and use "Forgot password?" or "Forgot username?"

  2. If your account is locked after failed attempts, contact your bank to unlock it

  3. Once your credentials work on your bank's own site, return to Konfir and connect
