Summary

Konfir's connections to services like HMRC, Open Banking, and Payroll are one-time only. After you submit:

  • These connections are automatically closed

  • Konfir no longer has access to your bank account, HMRC account, or payroll data

  • No ongoing or background access is maintained

💡Tip: You can confirm this yourself:

  • HMRC: Log in to your HMRC online account and check your list of authorised services. Konfir will not appear as an active connection after your verification.

  • Open Banking: Check your bank's app or online banking under connected apps or linked services. The Konfir authorisation will no longer be active.

Your verifier's access

Once you submit, your verifier receives your verification result. They can access and store this result according to their own data retention policies. If you have questions about how long they keep your data, you should contact them directly.
